This document prescribes the minimum safety requirements for bath seats which are not an integral part of the bath and maintain the child in a sitting position while being washed by the carer. The bath seats are for use by children who can sit unaided (about 6 months until 12 months). This European standard does not apply bath supports for children with special needs as floating products designed to be used as buoyancy aid.
