Scope

This standard specifies the optical performance requirements for visibility retroreflective accessories which are intended as aids to enhance conspicuity for adults and juveniles and are designed for non-professional use. Visibility accessories complying with this standard are intended to signal the user's presence when illuminated by vehicle headlights in the dark. This standard does not apply to finished garments.
