Child care articles - Baby carriers - Safety requirements and test methods

Scope

The European Standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods for baby carriers that are intended to be attached to the adult torso allowing a hands free operation, when standing and walking. When the baby carrier has secondary functions which are not covered in this standard, it shall comply with any other applicable standard. For example baby carriers fitted with wheels would need to meet the requirements of the European Standard for wheeled child conveyances.
