Scope

This European standard defines the methods of measuring dimensions of round timber, the calculation of volume of round timber based on mid-diameter, the methods of measurement and calculation of volume stacks. This standard applies to hardwood and softwood felled round timber. It does not apply to tropical timber or to timber measured using harvesters.
