This document deals with structural sealant glazing where the structural seal does not support the weight of the glass. This standard does not cover the use of patterned glass, wired patterned glass and polished wired glass. Other exclusions: glass on which the structural seal adhesion surface is sand blasted, acid etched, silk screen printed or opacified. Additional requirements may be necessary in special cases, for example, for special structures or environments, or when specific national regulations have to be observed.
