This part of this standard describes the requirements for initial type testing (ITT) as required by the construction product directive (CPD) in support of its legal requirements to assess the essential characteristics. Signs, transilluminated traffic bollards and delineator posts and retroreflectors shall comply with this standard as part of the evaluation of conformity procedure.
It is to be considered as a procedure for the manufacturer and the certification bodies involved in the ITT of signs, transilluminated traffic bollards and delineator posts and reflectors.
