Industrial, commercial and garage doors and gates - Operational noise - Requirements and test methods

Scope

This standard applies to fully assembled power operated doors, as defined in ENxxx. This standard does not consider noise generated by doors when operated manually. The standard describes a laboratory test method for measurement of airborne noise levels. The laboratory method is applicable for type testing of power operated doors (with respect to airborne noise levels only). Structure-borne noise is not presently covered by this standard, but the effects of this, on the noise level in doors neighbouring areas, must be considered when designing and installing doors.
