Scope

This document specifies characteristics, related test/assessment methods and assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) procedures for packaged and/or site assembled domestic wastewater treatment plants intended to be used buried in the ground, outside buildings, for the primary treatment of domestic wastewater or equivalent up to a population of 50 PT.
Packaged and/or site assembled domestic wastewater treatment plants in accordance with this document are made of concrete, steel, Unplasticized Polyvinylchloride (PVC-U), Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP-UP), Polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD) and/or flexible sheets made of PVC, PP, PE or Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer (EPDM).
Packaged and/or site assembled domestic wastewater treatment plants in accordance with this document are made of prefabricated components that are factory or site-assembled by one manufacturer and which are tested as a whole.
This document does not cover packaged and/or site assembled domestic wastewater treatment plants where vehicle loads apply to it, and/or receiving grey water only, and/or made of retrofit kits (see definition in 3.1.4).
