Scope

This European Standard specifies dimensions, tolerances and test requirements for fittings of copper and copper alloys with or without plating or coating. This part of EN 1254 specifies connection end dimensions of threaded ends in the sizes range designations 1/8" to 4", and other ends, for the purpose of jointing with tubes, pipes, fittings or valves, intended to be used in hot or cold or combined hot and cold water, heating and cooling systems, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas systems. Fittings may comprise a combination of end types, specified in EN 1254-1 to EN 1254-5, providing they are suitable for the fluid / gas being conveyed.
