Scope

This CWA defines a standardized and comparative test method for evaluating the slipperiness and gravity-driven flow behaviour of cream-type cosmetic products when in contact with transparent coatings applied to the inner surface of glass containers. The method is intended for complex formulations exhibiting non-Newtonian behaviour, including emulsions (oil-in-water or water-in-oil) structured by rheological networks composed of dispersed phases and texturizing agents. Such products may behave as solid-like materials at rest and as fluids under applied shear or stress. Consequently, their interaction with coated surfaces cannot be adequately characterized using conventional wettability methods developed for simple Newtonian liquids.
