Best practices for accurate position of visible and invisible traces in digital replicas of crime scenes for investigation and training purposes

Scope

The planned CEN Workshop Agreement establishes guidelines and methods for accurate automated/semi-automated positioning of scanning sensor (e.g. IR, Raman) measurements in the virtual 3D model. The planned CWA is intended to be used by LEAs’ personnel with expertise in crime scene investigation and documentation, tool developers from academia and private sectors for crime scene documentation. The planned CWA is not intended to be used by professionals not trained in forensics investigation and documentation.
