Scope

The standards package “Library Buildings and Funds” includes standards and standardization documents related to the organization and management of library spaces and hard copy funds. The standards package is addressed to library and archive specialists, as well as to managers of memory establishments. The standards may be used by architects of library buildings and designers of library spaces. The standardization documents may be used in the process of training library and archive specialists.
The standards package includes four standards and standardization documents:
- BDS ISO 21110:2019 Information and documentation — Emergency preparedness and response
- SD ISO/TR 11219:2016 Information and documentation - Qualitative conditions and basic statistics for library buildings — Space, function and design
- SD ISO/TR 19814:2017 Information and documentation — Collections management for archives and libraries
- SD ISO/TR 19815:2018 Information and documentation — Management of the environmental conditions for archive and library collections
