Scope

This document establishes the fundamental principles and technical specifications required for the unique digital definition of spot colors and the subsequent evaluation of their practical reproducibility within the graphic arts and packaging production supply chain. This document defines the mandatory spectral data and metadata required for unambiguous color communication. It also provides guidelines for assessing feasibility and defining a Dependent Standard when the Master standard cannot be met due to production constraints.
