Ergonomics - Computer manikins and body templates - Part 1: General requirements

Scope

This European Standard establishes the general requirements for computer-aided manikins intended for the design and evaluation of work spaces at machinery (or: spaces, furniture and other equipment). These requirements concern the anthropometric and motional (and biomechanical) properties of the manikins, particularly the extent to which they represent the human body and the intended user population. The European Standard also specifies the requirements for the documentation of the manikins in respect to these properties and for the guidance of the user.
