ISO 13584-102:2005 or view exchange protocol (VEP) 102 (informally known as PLIB) specifies how to associate a part representation defined in accordance with ISO 10303 (informally known as STEP) with a library part's description. The association is specified by defining a particular representation category named ISO10303_rep. This representation category characterizes product representations compliant with any one of the ISO 10303 application protocols.
ISO 13584-102:2005 (VEP 102) defines how representations characterized as ISO10303_rep may be associated with any of the items defined in a parts library, and may be exchanged within a library exchange context by means of ISO 10303 compliant data repositories.
