Hydrogen technologies — Interoperability — Part 1: Interface between gaseous hydrogen trailer and hydrogen fuelling station ISO/CD TS 19889-1

Scope

The document seeks to promote standardization of the interface between gaseous hydrogen trailers (so- called trailer) and unloading panels (so-called transfer panel) installed at hydrogen refuelling stations (HRS) to enhance interoperability between trailer distribution equipment, and HRS.
The following topics are identified as high priority for promoting harmonization of the applicable interfaces:
• Hydrogen hose and fitting type
• Trailer valve actuation method; actuation transfer and connection type
• Transfer control measurements and communication, bank management. This includes safety interlocks and shutdown systems.
Hydrogen transfer from trailers to station equipment is a critical process in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of hydrogen at HRS. To facilitate this process, a standardization is necessary to oversee and facilitate transfer operations. This document outlines the requirements and procedures for hydrogen transfers between trailer and HRS.
This document is intended to be converted to the International standard in the future.
