Scope

The principle consists in drying of a test portion in a platinum or silica dish followed by heating to between 600 °C and 650 °C. Weighing of the residue. The maximum deviation between results obtained is 0,6 % (m/m) in absolute value. Replaces ISO Recommendation R 1688-1970.
