Scope

IEC 62259 specifies marking, designation, dimensions, tests and requirements for vented nickel-cadmium prismatic secondary single cells and battery systems made of them where special provisions have been made in order to have partial or, under very specific conditions, full gas recombination for use in industrial applications.
