Scope

This standard relates to the packaging of components with axial leads, in order to facilitate assembly or automatic insertion - It has been prepared in order to standardize the methods, general dimensions and preferred tolerances for the taping of these components for example, resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc, for use in telecommunication equipment and electronic devices emloying similar assembly techniques - This standard deals only with the lead taping type of packaging and does not indicate the dimensions of the components themselves
