Scope

Technical report gives background and explanations on the design rules of EN 1993-1-14 Design assisted by finite element analysis. It contains guidelines and explanations to the numerical modelling, analysis type selection and application, model validation and verification and design check of steel structures using finite element analysis. The Technical Report also covers benchmark cases and worked examples to present the correct application of the EN 1993-1-14 design rules and gives background for benchmarking requested by validation rules.
