Scope

This functional standard provides a method of interactive operation using OSI Virtual Terminal Service and Protocol which is equivalent to the basic TELNET protocol commonly used over TCP/IP. It includes a modelling of the TELNET 'Network Virtual Terminal' using VT concepts. It also includes a modelling of the basic TELNET option negociation.
