Amendment to the scope of EN 88 to apply to pressure governors for use with gas burners and gas burning appliances of nominal connection size greater than DN 50 and that may be used and tested independently of these appliances. These governors are suitable for one or more of the fuel gases of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases at inlet pressures up to and including 1 bar. For "service" governors reference may be made to the work of CEN/TC 235 (e.g. EN 334).
