This part of prEN 753 specifies the magnetic stripe and encoding characteristics of thin flexible cards. Other cards, for example ID-1 cards, do not come within its scope. Guidance concerning the storage and usage of finished cards (including magnetic stripe cards) under various environmental conditions is given in prEN 753-1.
