Scope

The object of this standard is to define the classification and the principal constructional and operational characteristics of gas-fired instantaneous water heater for sanitary uses. It covers safety, rational use of energy and fitness for purpose. It applies to instantaneous water heaters for sanitary uses, with a permanent pilot or automatic ignition, with a nominal useful output not exceeding 45 kW and capable of operating with the gases of the various Wobbe number ranges.
