Scope

This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the softening point of bituminous binders, in the range 30°C to 150°C. NOTE: The method described is also applicable to bituminous binders which have been recovered from bituminous mixes, e.g. by extraction. WARNING: The use of this standard can involve hazardous materials, operations and equipment. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use.
