CEN

CEN/TC 231 Mechanical vibration and shock

European Norm

13.160   Vibration and shock with respect to human beings

Scope

To produce an annex to EN 14253 that gives guidance on how to handle transient
vibration from operator's movements in determination of vibration values from field measurements. The following issues will be addressed:
- Review of operator movements resulting in excessive transient vibration recorded by the seat accelerometer
- Indicate which operator movement generated vibration transients that shall be regarded as artefacts
- Give guidance on how to avoid significant artefacts due to operator movements or how to detect and eliminate such artefacts. A special question is how to avoid influence of such artefacts when dosimeters are used.
