This European Standard has been prepared under Mandate M/347 "Standardization work programme to ensure the optimal functioning of the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID 2004/22/EC)" given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association.
The clauses of this European Standard shown in this annex meet the mandate given under the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID 22/2004/EC).
Compliance with these clauses confers a presumption of conformity of the water meters covered by this annex for the intended uses indicated herein; reference shall be made to the information accompanying the CE marking.
This annex establishes the conditions for the CE marking of the water meters intended for the uses indicated in Table(s) ZA.1.1 to ZA.1.2 and shows the relevant clauses applicable:
This annex has the same scope as Clause 1 of this standard and is defined by Table(s) ZA.1.1 for Residential and Commercial use and ZA 1.2 for Light Industrial use.
