Scope

This part of EN 13566, read in conjunction with EN 13566-1, specifies requirements and test methods for pipes that are formed on site by spirally winding and jointing a pre-manufactured profiled plastics strip using a winding machine in front of the open end of an existing pipeline (e.g. in a manhole). The pipes thus formed are simultaneously inserted into the existing pipeline by the winding forces.
It covers spirally-wound pipes of a fixed diameter made of profiled plastics strips of unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC U) with an integral locking mechanism. These spirally-wound pipes are used for renovating non-pressure drainage and sewerage networks and are fixed in place by grouting the annular space.
NOTE The grouting procedure is outside the scope of this standard.
