Scope

This document provides guidance for setting up test method for laboratory evaluation of possible adverse effects of assembled products on drinking water quality.
In principle it is applicable to assembled products of varying sizes not covered by standards within this series or within the metallic test rig series for use in the treatment of public water supplies and of water inside buildings.
Evaluation of the efficiency of the assembled product is not included.
This method is not suitable for the evaluation of enhancement of microbial growth which is carried out on materials of construction.
