Electronic commerce - Shop presentation and transactions - Part 1: Regulatory and self-regulatory requirements

Scope

This CEN Workshop Agreement aims at:
a) Identifying sound online practices based on EU and International regulatory and self-regulatory framework designed to enable effective conduct of e-business with consumers (B2C);
b) Providing practical recommendations to enable online businesses adhere to principled business practices through legal compliance while at the same time taking advantage of evolving technologies;
c) Encouraging compliance with the minimum quality criteria defined in EU and International Regulation and Self-regulatory initiatives to promote trustworthy online environment and ensure consumer protection in e-transactions;
d) Fostering trust in electronic transactions through the provision of minimum regulatory and self-regulatory criteria.
