Scope

This document defines the interfaces supported by the Document Printer Control. In addition three three
automation objects are defined; Document, DocumentPrinterAction and DocumentPrinterCoAction. The
Document Printer exposes the functionality of the printer by means of properties, methods and events. It
also supports relevant interfaces to qualify as a control. Since it is a full control, it can be visually
manipulated at design time in any ActiveX enabled development environments like VB.
The DocumentPrinterAction object’s properties are used to specify the media control operations in
DoPrinterAction command. The DocumentPrinterCoAction object is used to specify the subset of same
operations during ReadForm and PrintForm commands.
Besides these automation objects, further objects are also defined; PrintForm, PrintMedia, PrintField,
PrintLayout, Extent, PrintResolution, PrintImage, PrinterReadMediaType, and PrinterWriteMediaType
objects, these are defined in the Part 13, the PrinterGeneric document.
