Scope

This specification defines the properties, methods and events of the ActiveXFS Card Reader Control. This
control provides functionality to operate magnetic stripe and smart card readers/writers. In addition to Card
Reader control, three other automation objects are defined:
The CardForm object that defines the attributes of the form used to describe data for Magnetic Stripe
Readers.
The CardData object that holds data read from or to be written to tracks.
The DataSource object that specifies sources which should be read from in a ReadRawData operation
The CardForm and CardData objects cannot be instantiated separately. They are returned as a result of
method execution in the Card Reader control.
An XFSDictionary object implementing the IXFSDictionary interface is used for passing formatted data to
forms. See the reference [2] for more information about the XFSDictionary object.
