CEN/TC 89 Thermal performance of buildings and building components

European Norm

Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the resistance of roof systems to wind-driven rain. The test method is applicable to roof systems that are not air tight as a whole or where parts of the roof system are not air tight, such as pitched roofs covered with discontinuously laid small elements such as clay tiles, concrete tiles, slates and fibre cement slates and stones. The test is intended to be applied on outer parts of the roof system, so as to evaluate the rain tightness of those parts.
