Vickers indentation hardness - Test method CEN/TC 67 N 206

Scope

This European Standard defines a test method for Vickers indentation hardness for ceramic tiles. This European Standard applies to all types of ceramic floor and wall tiles, glazed (GL) and unglazed (UGL). A Vickers indentation hardness values represents the capacity of tiles to resist to scratching actions. However, the procedure will enable the observation, measurement and/or calculation of other material parameters which depend on different material properties other than Vickers indentation hardness.
