This European Standard specifies an ion-selective electrode method (ISE) for the determination of fluoride in animal feeding stuffs, which involves the extraction of fluoride from feedstuffs by means of an acid treatment with hydrochloric acid 1 M. The method detection limit for fluoride is dependent on the sample matrix. A detection limit of 1,5 mg/kg should normally be obtained.
