This standard should apply to those enabling technologies addressed by the standard which are used for transmission or storage and retrieval of the limited set of stated binary file formats. This standard shall not apply to enabling technologies not addressed by the standard. This standard shall not apply to binary formats other than those explicitly listed in the standard.
