Gypsum elements for suspended ceilings - Part 1: Requirements, definitions

Scope

This European standard applies to gypsum ceiling tiles. It gives a general definition of the different types of gypsum ceiling tiles and gives the requirements for their mechancial and physical properties. This standard excludes information relating to gypsum ceiling units, fibrous works and metal ceiling grids. The main addressed characteristics will be: resistance to fire, mechanical properties like deflection under self weight and sound absorption.
