Scope

This European Standard specifies requirements for the transport system inland navigation. The field of application comprises both the examination and rearrangement of existing intermodal transport systems as well as their reconstruction as far as the inland navigation is involved as main transport system. It shall be taken into account that this standard also applies to all means of traffic involved in the transport system as well as to all transport processings taking place at the intersections.
