Scope

This European standard specifies methods for the manual ultrasonic examination of fused butt-welded joints in austenitic, fully austenitic, and nickel based alloy steels, to assure uniform ultrasonic examination. These methods serve to detect imperfections, which are mainly oriented in the welding direction.
