Scope

This Standard lays down how a welding instruction for production and repair welding of non-alloyed cast irons is approved through welding process tests. It explains the conditions for carrying out testing of the welding process and the limits of validity of an approved welding process for all practical technical welding activities within the area of the parameters. The tests are t to be carried out in accordance with this Standard, unless the corresponding application standard or the contract specifies more stringent tests and these are to be used.
