Textiles and textile products — Determination of certain bisphenols, method using liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry

Scope

This document specifies a test method using organic solvent extraction, liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for detection and quantification of the following bisphenols in textiles and components of textile products:
- bisphenol A,
- bisphenol B,
- bisphenol F,
- bisphenol S and
- bisphenol AF.
This document is also applicable for the determination of further bisphenols, provided that the method is validated with the additional compounds.
