Scope

This document provides evaluation for one aspect of circular economy: furniture upgradability. For assessing the overall degree of circularity of furniture products, additional complementary evaluation methods need to be considered.
This document provides an evaluation method including a set of criteria for evaluating the ability of products to be upgraded that lead to an extension of the lifetime of a product.
The evaluation criteria are intended to support the user of this document in designing a product which can be easily upgraded irrespective of materials or construction methods used.
This document does not include requirements.
The evaluation method does not consider usefulness and/or cost-effectiveness of the upgrading
