This document specifies a method for the determination of certain perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in food of animal origin, i.e. meat, milk, eggs and fish. It covers perfluoro sulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorononaic acid (PFNA) and perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS) and compounds which are similar to PFOS, PFOA, PFNA and PFHxS.
