Plastics piping systems for non-pressure underground drains and sewers – Procedure for determining the durability of thermoplastic pipes under constant deformation

Scope

This document provides the procedure for determining the durability of buried non-pressure thermoplastic pipes by using product and material data under common installation conditions to ensure that the expected design life of the thermoplastic pipe can be achieved with confidence.
The approach described in WI 00155A2U - prCEN/TR XXXXX - Plastics piping systems for non-pressure underground drains and sewers - Durability assessment method for products, is the basis for this procedure.

The method is applicable for all types of non-pressure thermoplastic pipes and three types of thermoplastic materials, namely PE, PP and PVC.

This document is applicable to the durability of the thermoplastic pipes and not to the durability of the plastic piping system.
