Building Hardware for sliding and sliding folding movable protective elements attached to facades: requirements and test methods

Scope

This European Standard applies to protective elements added as overhangs, aligned with the facade plane, or recessed from the facade in facade openings, such as:
- Sliding panel;
-Multi-panel sliding folding;
- Sliding privacy screen;
- Sliding shade Screens.
This European Standard does not apply to hinged and rolling protective elements or external blinds.
This European Standard specifies the test methods, static and dynamic performance, and corrosion resistance of hardware components in order to establish levels of proper functioning and risk prevention, such as falls.
