Factory-made double skin metal faced insulating panels - Part 6: Installation

Scope

This document specifies minimum requirements for the planning and installation of wall cladding and roof coverings using structural
and non-structural sandwich panels that are harmonised according to prEN 14509-1 and prEN 14509-2, comprising two metal faces
and an insulation core.
This document covers the installation of sandwich panels with through-fixings and hidden fixing systems.
This document does not cover the installation of:
- safety devices for individuals or groups of people;
- sandwich panels with an insulation core made of phenolic foam (PF)
- elements suspended from the panel faces;
- outer cladding and attachment of decorative covers;
- rooftop structures or installation of equipment on the panels (photovoltaic glass modules, solar thermal collectors,
etc.);
- any additional thermal insulation on the inner face of the panels;
