Scope

Scope: This standard defines test methods(?) and requirements for the safety, strength and durability of privacy pods and establishes their functional, mechanical, acoustic, indoor, air quality and ventilation requirements. Any furniture items which are not fixed to, or an integral part of the pod, are excluded for such items other EN standards exist.
Exclusions: This standard does not apply to
- Sleep pods designed for sleeping.
- Pods that are permanently fixed to the building.
- Pods that are designed to be used outside.
Definition: A freestanding structure which is intended for work or communication in non-domestic indoor environments, forms a fully enclosed space with or without its own floor, consists of walls fixed to each other, is not permanently fixed to the building structure and may include technical installation or functional elements such as lighting, air conditioning, etc.
