Scope

This document provides guidance for improving the environmental sustainability of fitness clubs.

This includes both the operational and managerial requirements for providing products and services within the club, as well as products and services offered externally by the club to its users

This document is applicable to all publicly accessible fitness clubs and is irrespective of the size of the club. It is intended to provide guidance on the reduction of carbon emissions in a planned way towards net zero by 2050.

This document does not cover fitness clubs where physical exercise is exclusively a secondary business.
