Bitumens and bituminous binders - Specification framework for clear binders

Scope

This document specifies a framework of characteristics and associated test methods for the determination of the performance of clear binders (defined in the terminology standard EN 12597:2024 as synthetic binder used for coloured paving or industrial applications) suitable for paving or other applications.

Note: clear binders are ideally suited for paving application where colour features are requested.
