Scope

This document describes a method for the measurement of the oxygen transfer in clean water in aeration tanks of activated sludge plants.
The method is valid for a wide range of tank shapes, types of aerators and aerator arrangements. This method is based on sufficiently well mixed tanks or tanks with uniformly distributed aerators or diffusers. It is referred to as the 0-D method.
General requirements are given in prEN 12255-15:20XX.
NOTE 1 Mixing and uniformity conditions affect the quality of the measurement and the measurement deviations to be expected.
